Quartz is a miraculous substance. Tiny atoms of silicon and oxygen, bonded together over millions of years, grew into what we now see as crystals.

Quartz crystals offer a marvelous opportunity to begin learning about energy and energetic healing. There are a various schools of thought about how to use crystals, and what their properties and capabilities are. Some people believe that crystals have inherent properties and capabilities, while others believe they have no ability at all.

Over the span of time that crystals were forming, there were occasional interruptions. Water may have stopped flowing, or another mineral such as chlorite or hematite became present in the surrounding environment, causing the quartz to take on various appearances. This is how phantoms, amethysts, citrine, spirit quartz, and other formations came to exist.

Quartz is considered to be the master crystal, and an amplifier that can increase whatever energy is present. Meditating with the crystal and setting your intent will “program” the crystal to amplify your focus – whether that is healing, visioning, etc.
